Sir singer, sees the world in greys
speaks constantly, of sterts and graveyards
You lynch, and torture the wanting
your voice, is in endless mourning
you blame the walls for standing
but I rather like this life
- Madam, Im fond of living
in its truth and its deception
But man moves to destruction
people would rather live in fiction
-People? look at it this way
they're content with real oblivion
the worst is yet to be dreamt of
in suffering, everyone's a belonging
You say, that life is destruction
but all that they yearn for is stories
-Madam, that's all I'm doing
I tell stories however sad
Where would man be without knowledge
of Brothers Grimm cruel truthfulness.?
-What is truth, what are you asking?
You're a stranger to a lack of doubt
You sing, what you have read of
You've summed the world into a novel
You play, while the universe struggles
you deny human loving!
-Madam, I try to suffer
ask the wife and my children
I love. Love an ageing volume
I ran recommend to God
-God, you're not at all fond of him
But you claim, you costantly seek him
One can lose himself in your terrors
it takes an art to graps your art
You publically fight your destiny
What can be learnt from your life?
-Madam, please don't keep waiting
for lessons, theories, conclusions
I'm an example of humanity

Paciu, stanowczy domagam się więcej przekładów utworów ojca na język angielski. Może by tak "Trzy portrety" spróbować, albo "Bar Folies Bergere", albo coś całkiem innego byle duuuuuużo i często!!
